Toddler Love (can be a little much)

As I’ve said time and again, don’t leave your children alone with your dogs.  Kids often mean well, but can be overwhelming.   They don’t exhibit great body control, and they don’t understand dog language (many adults have trouble interpreting it, so to expect your child to do so isn’t fair).  My own wee girlie loves her dogs very much, but for their safety and hers, I would never leave them alone together.  So while they may be adorable in a picture, life is rarely picture perfect.

Too Much Lovin'

Lily-Ann loves Roo…  and Roo loves Lily-Ann.  But this particular cuddle session went on too long.  So I rewarded Rooty-Toot with a “good calming signal Roo”, gave her a scritch and set her free for some zooming.  Lily-Ann’s sadness was explained away with “Roo is still just a puppy at heart sweetie.  She loves your cuddles, but was ready for a run.  Why don’t you throw a toy for her?”  And once again, all were happy in the kingdom of toddler and dog.  😉
