The Littlest Decorator

I hadn’t decided yet what to do with the outside of the wee girlie’s new loft bed (which we’ve all taken to calling her “up high bed”)… so when she wanted to decorate it herself I figured we should just go with it.  🙂

Chances are it will take weeks for her to complete her masterpiece, but when it’s done I’m sure it will be just awesome.  We’ll have to find something to coat it in once it’s finished – to help keep it safe and to ensure it can endure.  Any thoughts?  Whatever we do, I think it will be really cool.  It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I can’t think of anything better that we could have done.  😀

  1. I’d use a water based varnish…varathane…it washes really easy to apply..and has no stinky odor when you use it. Very durable, and comes in satin or high gloss. It also does not discolor like the oil based ones do. I use it on my paintings for a clearcoat. make sure you date her artwork !!

    • Will definitely date it with a “from-to” type thing. LOL This particular work is still in progress. 😉 And thanks for the tip about varathane. Very much appreciated.
