The puppies are thirteen weeks old!

The Avengers are thirteen weeks old, and the first will begin his preparations to head to his forever home soon.  I’m bad.  I like to keep my babies long past the time when they are babies.  Heck, I didn’t place Deedee (from Roo’s last litter) until she was a year and a half old.  And I’ll be keeping a couple of these little ones back to show (after completing their Canadian Championships they MAY be available).  So it feels really odd to be saying goodbye to one of my boys when he’s still such a tiny little stinker.  But the home he’ll be heading to?  It’s absolutely fabulous – or he wouldn’t be going there.  So I have every confidence that he will be treasured beyond measure.

That said, here’s a couple videos from the last few days:

Rogers and Bruce playing on our bed a couple of days ago while Damon and I attempted to watch an episode of How I Met Your Mother – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9g20wuLWy8

All four boys playing with Lily-Ann on her bed yesterday as she attempted to charm them into being polite little princes:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MguVgW9Gmeo

After playing for a couple of hours, the girl had most of the boys tired out.  So here we are with what was left of them, it’s mostly a video of Tony:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_nKwZUyWlw

Have a great night everyone, see ya in the new year!

Puppies in the Yard!

Okay, the only thing cuter than three and a half week old puppies, are three and a half week old puppies mucking about in the yard.  So…  how could I NOT take pictures?  Seriously.  I was compelled to capture their little romp.  It simply had to be done.

ALICE

The older of the girls, Alice is white with black spots and tan markings.  Though she is older, she is the smaller of the two.  She is currently weighing in at .434 kg (15.3 oz).

Alice is the more laid back of the two girls.  Content to sit and be loved upon by the many who adore her.  She’s happy to go exploring, but likes the reassurance that comes from knowing mommy is near by.  She’s a lot like her Daddy, Ned.

DEEDEE

When they were brand new, Deedee, our black tri-coloured puppy, always seemed so big compared to her sister.  That difference is minimal now.  Currently weighing .454 kg (16.0 oz), she actually looks smaller than Alice…  apparently black actually is slimming.

Deedee is very much like her momma, Roo.  Always busy.  Always going.  Always getting into something.  Sure, she loves her cuddles – but they have to be on her terms or she’ll wiggle her little butt right out of there.

Puppy in My Pocket!

Okay, yes, it’s my second blog post for tonight…  but for all those begging for updated pictures of Roo’s girls, I couldn’t disappoint.  LOL  So here are some new pictures of our Chihuahua puppies, Alice and Deedee.
