My youngest brother (the baby of the family) came for a visit today. Coming to town for a six hour visit meant six hours on a bus (three hours each way) for him. Not a fun trip, but I’m so glad he did it. We don’t get to see him often enough, and we love him very much. Not much to say other than that. I love that so much of our family is local, but we dearly miss those who aren’t.
Well, today marks the puppies fifth-week-irthday. Yep. They are five weeks old today. And while it’s never something you hear about well bred Chihuahuas, I’ll say it anyway… They are getting SOOO big. LMAO
Okay, so yes. “Big” is relative. But they are sooo much bigger now. And they are running around. Using the pee pads. Giving kisses. Climbing things. Wrestling. Squeeking (they are trying to bark, but it comes out more like little squeeks). They are way too adorable.
Today we took both Deedee and Alice for their first play date. Granted, they were being held more than they were being played with, but that’s good for them too. 🙂 You won’t find a guy who adores tiny puppies more than my dad – and every Chihuahua who has ever been through our doors has made it’s way into his arms at some point. Well… every Chihuahua except Nico (but he was a special case). LOL
Here are two quick snapshots I nabbed (I was too busy being a mother hen to snap more than a couple):
Tomorrow = another day.
Another day = another playdate.
This time at my friend Yolanda’s place… where I will TRY to hover less, and try to photograph more. LMAO But I can’t promise anything.
Today started off nice and lazy, just the way I like my Sundays… but then it got busy. Mostly fun busy, with a visit from my good friend Trae and her son Jaden. They joined us for supper, which was a really nice treat. Unfortunately we had some bad busy too though, in the form of a wee girlie and her daddy both with fevers and sick tummies. A set of sheets, pillow cases, and comforters later… at least the sickies have a clean bed to lie in. Always a joy to have those types of messes… but we got through it. And I have to say, have Trae here to help watch everyone else while I took care of the mess was a big help, and made me feel a lot better about everything.
Before things got busy I had been thinking about scrapbooking kits. I have a few in mind. Gotta build up a bit of a supply, and then I’ll hopefully be able to find a shop that is interested in selling them. Here’s one of the pictures I took today… while thinking scrapbooks. 🙂 Any guesses as to the theme of the kit it will belong in?
